It is not easy being an airline these days. New and seasonal markets demand an instant response. Keeping operational costs in check calls for smart solutions. And in the midst of all this, providing a safe operation remains utterly essential. We know.
Direct Maintenance is a professional line maintenance provider running a high-quality operation at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in support of our esteemed client airlines. Operating fully independently allows us to carefully listen to our customers and understand their needs truly. We offer tailor made and dedicated line maintenance services through our handpicked and devoted staff. We know it is part of our job to go that extra mile at times. In past years we have significantly invested in the latest generation aircraft models, we are currently holding regulatory approval to support A380, B747-8 and B787, amongst others. As an example, Direct Maintenance is the only A380 line maintenance provider at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, since inaugural A380 operations into The Netherlands commenced in 2012.
Direct Maintenance holds EASA Part-145 certification, we also are an approved FAA Repair Station, apart from the other National Approvals we are holding to support our customers. The aircraft models we are certified on today include an impressive 43 aircraft-engine combinations:
- Airbus range: A319/A320/A321/A330/A343/A345/A380
- Boeing range: B737CL/B737NG/B742/B743/B744/B748/B757/B767/B777/B787/MD11
Next to performing the regular line maintenance checks and being focused on safety, the Direct Maintenance engineers are very much committed to also ensure as many cabin items or IFE issues are being dealt with during the given ground time. Your passengers will expect ‘value for their money’ and cabin products and IFE systems should be working properly. This has in fact become a top priority for our staff.
It is comforting to know Direct Maintenance operates a 24/7 AOG desk, to facilitate the logistics of any critical spare parts, which is essential during AOG situations. We run a large spare parts store on airside meeting all of the latest requirements, staffed with experienced and well trained store keepers. Furthermore we operate a huge high-lift unit to facilitate the performance of maintenance tasks at altitude in a safe manner. Our high-lift has a reach of 13 meters, the highest of its kind at Amsterdam Airport. Our high-lift unit is also available for rentals, to support any ad-hoc maintenance issues encountered by fellow airlines.
A result of our strong customer focus is our client list, which includes well respected airlines, many of them national flag carriers, who have entrusted their line maintenance requirements to Direct Maintenance. Some of the testimonials received from our customers highlight their appreciation for our work:
