Compulsory Quarantine with hefty fines

The Dutch Cabinet sent a concept law to the House of Representatives (Tweede Kamer) last Friday, in which a new quarantine-regime for travel will be implemented as per mid-May. A compulsory quarantine of 10 days will be the norm for travellers coming from all high-risk (red and orange) countries, which currently is practically the entire world. The quarantine may be ended after 5 days when tested negative. Incoming passenger will have to submit details such as phone  number and address where they will be during the quarantine. Non-compliance can result in a fine of € 435 per person.
