Hugo Thomassen appointed as the new Managing Director at ACNL

The Supervisory Board of Airport Coordination Netherlands (ACNL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Hugo Thomassen as Managing Director effective January 20, 2020.

Hugo Thomassen brings a wealth of experience in the fields of capacityplanning and allocation, gained in previous positions at the Dutch Railways and ProRail, and is used to manage situations where various stakeholders with conflicting interests are involved.

On April 1st, 2020, ACNL will transform from a foundation into an independent governing body by public law. The governance structure will change as a result of this transformation. Besides completing this transition, Hugo Thomassen will also, in close cooperation with the ACNL-team, take up ACNL’s forthcoming challenges.

The Board is glad that the vacant post has been filled and wishes Hugo Thomassen every success in this challenging position.

As a result of the appointment of the new Managing Director, Mr. Herman Vreeburg will terminate his position as interim Managing Director. The Supervisory Board wishes to express its special appreciation towards Herman Vreeburg for the way he has performed this temporary position in the past 14 months.
